On Monday, November 27th, at the prestigious One Whitehall Place in London, in collaboration with British Poles and the Independent Research Group we ceremoniously unveiled an enchanting exhibition dedicated to the support that Poland has provided to Ukraine since the onset of the Russian aggression. The event, attended by distinguished representatives of public life in the United Kingdom, members of the House of Lords and the House of Commons, members of the diplomatic corps, the Polish community, and the Ukrainian community in London, featured addresses from:
- Francis Dearnley, Daily Telegraph,
- Yuriy Lysenko, representative of the Ukrainian Ombudsman for Civil Rights, Director of Conservative Friends of Ukraine,
- Daniel Kawczynski MP, Conservative Member of Parliament,
- George Byczynski, UK Friends of Ukraine and advisor to the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Poland,
- Paweł Pawłowski, Member of Council, Central&Eastern European Council,
- Kacper Kita, expert at the Transatlantic Alliance Foundation,
- General Sir James Everard, former Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe.
Both in the speeches and on the exhibition boards, various aspects of the extensive assistance that Poland has extended to Ukraine were highlighted. This support, despite a challenging and painful history and existing differences, was eloquently portrayed, underscoring the depth of the bond between the two nations. The gathering served as a platform for dialogue, fostering understanding, and celebrating the enduring spirit of solidarity between Poland and Ukraine.
